johnno56 I am going to have to push back that mario video to tommorow. It took me a while to make the level itself. I am attaching the level I built so you can look at it. It doesn't have anything other than the tiles and background. I will start from this point in my video so you will need it in order to follow along. I was looking through the videos I already had and I actually made a video on how to use the packaging tool a year ago. Here is the link: RCBasic Package Tool VideoMost of it is still the same except you can now select which platforms you want to distribute for. NOTE: To distribute for the web you will need to have python 3.7+ and Git installed. The first time you build a web app it will download the emscripten toolchain and configure it which can take a while. rosy I will try to include subtitles in the video when I upload it but I have never done that before so I don't know if I can. I will upload a written tutorial to go with the video if that would be easier for you to follow. Attachments:mario_tutorial.zip (4.67 KB)

Yeah. It took me a long time to put my level together... But mine included using Gimp to extract the two background layers and the foreground layer. But I converted my level to 32x32 sprites. Then the time to actually create the level with the Editor...
No rush on the video... When you can fit it in will be fine...
By the way... Just loaded your level... Nicely done... You tiled everything except for the sky! Even to the point of animating the "?" blocks... Cool... I like the potential exit at the end... Well... I know which level I'll be using for the video... Hint. Not mine... lol
Great job!

I meant what you keep doing with games after writing them. How and where to distribute.

I meant what you keep doing with games after writing them. How and where to distribute. The RCBasic Package Tool will make a distributable bundle for Windows, Linux, Mac, and the web. The android builder tool will bundle your program for Android. To build for IOS you need a Mac with XCode installed. XCode is free and its available on the App store on Mac. Once its installed you would just open the RCBasic XCode project and put in your developer info and build. There are a few other platforms that may get supported in the future but those are all the current ones. As for where to distribute, there are a number of places. PCAndroidFor IOS, you are limited to the IOS app store because Apple doesn't allow any other app stores on there platform. There is also the old school method of just creating a physical boxed copy of your game. RCBasic's uses the Zlib license which means you can distribute your programs however you want including selling them. You just can't sue me for any issues that come from using the software.
