For the windows users, there is a new windows upload that now comes bundles with a portable version of geany bundled and also includes options in the build menu for creating a 32-bit and 64-bit distributable. You can basically extract it to where you want and start it up and you will be good to go.
I am hoping to have an easy setup like this available for linux soon as well but it will take some more work because of how linux works.
Let me know what you think.

You can download it on rcbasic.com or from the download section here in the forum. Just download the windows version and run start_editor to start up geany with rcbasic pre-configured. And like I said above, there is an option in the build menu to create a distributable which basically just included all the files you need to share your program. If you want to share a 32-bit and 64-bit version of your program you will need to create 2 separate folders with your program and then distribute 32-bit in one and 64-bit in the other.

Hey aurel, welcome to the forum. I just started bundling geany with the windows version a few weeks ago for convenience. You can download the non geany bundles here: RCBasic Win 32-BitRCBasic Win 64-BitThe reason the geany version is so big is that along with geany, it also includes both versions from above. There is a ton of batch files and scripts written in rcbasic that detect your operating system and uses the appropriate version. You can set it up to work with any editor you like. The compiler is "rcbasic_build.exe" and the VM that runs programs is "rcbasic.exe". When you compile a program is generates a *.cbc file. That is what rcbasic.exe runs. On Windows you can just drag a *.bas file onto "rcbasic_build.exe" to create a *.cbc file and then drag that *.cbc file onto rcbasic.exe to run it. I include a folder called "dist" in the rcbasic folder that has a 32-Bit and a 64-Bit version of all the files you need to distribute with your *.cbc file for other people to run them. You just need to rename rcbasic.exe to the same name as your *.cbc file and the exe will automatically run the *.cbc file. Quick Note: If you want the use or modify the syntax file to get syntax highlighting in your editor, the geany syntax file is in the rcbasic\geany folder.

hello to you kenn first it is not Scintilla eitor than scintilla-based code editor called Aurel Edit. Which use sciLexer.dll (scintilla edit control). What is the size? good question... AurelEdit.exe ..... 62kB sciLexer.dll( v3.7.4.0.) ..... 212kB
AurelEdit is open source and written in basic compiler and can by modified to anything you wish. In current shape is good for simple things because i don't need some extra special things.
Thanks nOOb on explanation ,yes i agree i see it now.
