Today I discovered an interesting and valuable discussion in this forum: retrogamecoding.org/board/index.php?topic=831.0If noob set up a section "Basicprogramming(.org)" and make several sub-forums "Community news and announcements", "General questions and discussions", "Code and examples", etc. for the old members of that forum, those talented programming people will join the RCBasic forum. The activity of the RCBasic forum may be increased significantly. Furthermore, those old members will have a nice and comfortable place for their BASIC discussions. In addition, it is also a good promotion for RCBASIC. They may also help to bugfix the future versions of RCBASIC.

I don't think I am the one who should be housing that forum. I actually posted in the thread you linked that I was never all that active there. But we can put it to a vote with the other members here.

But we can put it to a vote with the other members here. Waiting for opinions and votes from our members? Nice idea! However, it looks as if no reponse from them in this thread. Only you replied here. Most of our members may want more traffic in this forum.

Oh, not fair... I live on the other side of the planet... and it takes a little while for the information and sunrise to synchronise... lol
In my opinion... As the role of Administrator is not an elected position, voting would only be an indication of how the members feel and may influence the decision making processes of the Administrator, but when the "rubber hits the road", the Administrator's word is 'Law'.
Admin: Whatever you decide to do, in regards to improving this site, you will have my 'vote'... Kennn: Extra traffic... Yes please....

All sounds interesting....I think if you want to attract people you need the flashy stuff, demos and games! Post in forums games you have made, demos, etc..
Thats a short opinion..but I am tired and thought I would check in.

If someone is interested you may look into my ucoz forum I add two new sections: BASIC programming ALL HOBBY programming boards aurelsoft.ucoz.com/forum/Hello, I am surprised by your forum and your kind help!!! Do you want to make your forum to replace "the Retrogamecoding and Basicprogramming Forum"? It is very good news for the old members of that forum. I have an essential suggestion for you. Those old members may not be willing to join your new forum because the forum is quite empty. However, they will be grateful to you if you can download all the old posts of "the Retrogamecoding and Basicprogramming Forum" and put all the old posts in your new forum. Afterwards, most of the old members will join your forum, I think. My above suggestion may help your new forum to succeed and to be popular....Bye and good luck to you.

Hey aurel, since you already have started a site dedicated to general basic programming I can just add a link to your forum on this forum and the rcbasic website for those interested in general basic programming. I think that is a better solution to continuing the BP community than me trying to add all that stuff to this forum. I don't think it would be good for new people on this forum to have to scroll through 20 to 30 sub forums to figure out where to post here.
