I am doing great, its harvest time and the first time in 5 years the crops are all standing and might actually turn a profit lol. Then comes weining the calves, sorting out bulls, picking out replacement heifers, vaccinating, selling of calves, cleaning equipment and storing for winter, maybe get a day on the lake for fishing. Then maybe, just maybe get a few minutes I front of laptop to get something done. Thats my story!

Good to know that crops are looking good. Big bonus, these days, if they turn a profit... That sounds like a LOT of work... You're not doing all that by yourself are you? Our family used to "share farm" a dairy farm when we were kids. We would probably get to see dad maybe on Sunday's (day off) He would be up before dawn (about 4:30) and wouldn't get home until after dark...
Sometimes dad would take us 'fishing'... We had small dams on the farm and they were usually populated with eels, yabbies and Redfin... I never caught anything. My impression of fishing was just sitting there drowning bait... Catching rabbits... another story. We would go out with nets, ferrets and shovels (just in case the ferret decided to stay on the burrow.. lol). Mum called them "underground mutton"... Mum would sit on the front verandah, wither her "22", watching the rabbit holes on the side of a nearby hill... Our house was part way up a hill... at the base of the hill was a creek and the dairy sheds.. The hill on the other side of the creek (hill #47) was quite steep. The cows would walk around and up the hill... like a spiral... to get the grass... The "paths" that they would make made a ideal place for rabbit holes. The "bunny" would pop its head out "to look around" and that would be the last thing it saw... The rabbit holes on the hill were at least 100 yards away. Mum only needed on shot. Always a "head shot"... "Wastes too much meat with a body shot"... Mum would not teach us to shoot...
Good to know that you are doing ok. Really busy. But ok.

Wow sorry johnno56 I didn't even see this reply. That actually sounds awesome, we used to go out trapping and shooting ground squirrels, but rabbit hunting with ferrets that sounds like alot of fun. My mom used to shoot the varmints as well, but I don't think she was that handy with the .22 I am most definitely not doing it by myself lol, family is a huge assistance.
