Interesting site. Quite a discussion on one of the forums in regards to rapid development tools. Not how to use them but discuss the pros and cons of some of the popular tools.
Although rapid development tools a great idea, I am more of a supporter of, tools built by using the programming language (in this case RCBasic) itself. For example: N00b's game engine. Looks like it was coded entirely with RC... Naalaa also has a Map Editor and a Raycasting Engine as well as it's own editor. All written in Naalaa. Having the tools written in 'the language' greatly reduces incompatibility issues that may pop up in third party tools...
Tools or no tools... Creating a good game is the main goal...
