It looks like something out of a Science Fiction movie. The ground texture seems to be really blocky though.

Python, Perl, Ruby, Java - are not used by Puppy but may be used by some applications. Including them in Puppy would make Puppy bloated.
Shell Scripting (Bash/ash) - Puppy uses the bash-shell for a lot of its scripting needs.
good to know...

I think that time I tried Puppy was on an OLD Asus notebook... I wouldn't say it had 'low' resources as "low" would be generous. It ran but was painfully slow. But it's good to know that both Puppy AND machines have improved since.
Software development and computer operations (not data entry), in the past, would have been dominated by men. Thankfully, these day, more and more women are taking up the challenge. Even during Alan Turing's days, of code breaking during WW2, had one female in his team. Not because women were demanding equal rights. Not because it was "frowned upon" to have a women in such a role. Because she was the best at what she could do. For the 1940's, that was extraordinary.
Jemimah learned to program in Basic on the C64. Who knew that this would lead to developing an operating system? Saluki Puppy.

Shell Scripting (Bash/ash) - Puppy uses the bash-shell for a lot of its scripting needs. Perl was pre-installed on every single Puppy distro I've tried (to be honest, I've never seen a Linux distro that didn't have Perl included out of the box). Python (version 2) on some of them. Ruby, Java, Tcl, Lua were not included. Bash is the most popular Linux shell and it's default for almost all Linux distributions. One of the first things I do when trying a new distro is opening the terminal and typing:
perl -v (to check what version of Perl is installed)
python (to check what version of Python is installed)
ruby (to check if Ruby is installed)
lua/luajit (to check if Lua/Luajit is installed)
tclsh/wish (to check if Tcl/Tk is installed) I don't care about Java.

I cannot comment about the video editing problems that guy had with Linux as I have not performed any editing. Some Linux distros have a version dedicated to audio / visual tasks. eg: Ubuntu Studio. Perhaps he would have had a better experience that version.
My rule of thumb is: If it isn't broken, don't fix it.
If video editing works with Windows, why switch to Linux? It is rare that Open Source software is going to perform just as good as Professional software.
He sounds a bit like the story of the old hound dog on the front porch. The old dog would just lie there howling because he was lying on an exposed nail. Instead of just moving to another spot on the porch, it was just easier for him, to just lie there and complain. That guy's solution is simple. If Linux doesn't work for him, stop complaining, and go back to Windows... lol.
Nuts. I need more coffee....
