I have been looking around but I don't think our forum is getting taken offline anytime soon. If for any reason this forum does get taken down, me or johnno56 will send out an email to registered users. I will also link to the new forum on rcbasic.com and on the rcbasic itch.io page.

Oh...........this topic is nearly useless. Why? First, ProBoards still operates. Second, vaccines are under mass production in a lot of countries now. The world's economy will recover very quickly. Hey.......your focus should be on a superior next version of RCBasic software. Right? Moving this forum or considering moving this forum is wasting your valuable time. However, this topic could still inspire me. That's why I only said that this topic was nearly useless, but not 100% useless. I suddenly have a much better idea than SourceForge because of this discussion. In fact, sourceForge is a worse idea. Nevertheless, since I am very busy recently, I will describe this much better idea later. Please wait for me.

Ok. Proboards: "Our forums are not going away, but we need your help." Implies that, because of the current economy-virus effects, proboards is struggling. Not dead. Struggling. No need to "jump ship" just yet. But wise to to do some research.
Ouch! Shoot down sourceforge... Can't wait to hear your reasoning...
Recovering economy: Based on historical examples... Recovery from Wars, Pandemics, Financial collapse and natural disasters... Recovery has never been 'quick'. I certainly hope that you are correct. But I have my doubts. In the end, we will recover, hopefully learning from our mistakes....
Time to boost the fading caffeine levels... lol

johnno56, In the modern world, there is an invincible method. -------> Many central banks are printing a lot of money for this virus disaster. The method is so powerful. For example, the Dow Jones is above 31000 now. COVID-19 looks like a product from laboratory but the investigation of WHO could not do any useful thing. This situation is so awful and terrible.
aurel,Ok! I see. Thanks for your information.

Simply printing "a lot of money" will not fix it. That money "must" have financial backing. After all, originally a bank note (printed money), was a "promissory" note. A note that implies background wealth. A note that guarantees the value of the note will be honoured upon presenting it to a retailer etc.
Therefore, without the supporting wealth behind the "money", which is difficult to provide if the economy is unstable, printing more money will only cause it to lose value and eventually the economy will collapse and bingo! Recession / Depression. I wonder if the banking industry thought it's method was invincible in the 1930's?
A close friend of mine, who lived through the recession in England / Scotland in the 30's, told me that when WW2 started, the economy was still trying to recover. After the war, until ending his naval career in 1957, the economy was was in the process of recovering. Trying to "modernize" industry was really hard due to the lack of funds. The English economy is in a far better state now, but even after 20 years, it was still effected by the Great Depression...
My apologies for the 'history lesson'... but I needed to stress that recovery, as a rule, is never a quick or simple fix...
Ok. Time for a subject change.... What coding projects are you currently working on?

They want some cash and that's it, covid is good for anything. There is no need to panic ...

Rosy,
Agreed. Not panicking. Just frustrated about this covid business. Without getting into politics, the Victorian State Government (Australia), seems to be paranoid and taking "baby steps" in returning us to "normal" living. Probably because, out of the 900+ that have died so far (Australia wide), 800+ were from Victoria. We all feel like prisoners on parole... But, no need to panic, as there are many other countries that are far worse than us.... Just want it all to end.
I find this subject too depressing...

I'm afraid there are no prospects that it will ever end ... Do you know how Google translated "covid business" to me? "hidden company"... In fact, even aptly ...
The government has no patents. He carries out orders like people ...
