yes ..but how ...this one is the ugliest gui program i have ever see.. sorry dont get me wrong ..but looks like is used from windows 3.1 Although I don't know why you had this feeling, the above description is a humorous description. Perhaps future versions will be nicer.

n00b gui lib is function over form, if one wishes to "pretty" it up, source code is there have at er. It has little to do with SDL2 and more do with what the programmer is willing to invest into the aesthetics of the project. It would be an interesting thing to tackle, make it a great looking gui lib, as well as very functional.

Nice GUI's. Nano dark; SDL light... Must have taken some decent amount of time to develop. I like the dark version.
N00b. How long did it take for you to develop your GUI? (curios...) Did you use any tools or did you make it from scratch or a tutorial etc.?

Johnno if you look into include gui.bas you will see how nOOB made it btw...very nice work and great piece of code but SDL is somehow limited in that it is library mainly for graphics and games
PS...i can try to do something let say similar but that require really big amount of time i mean in micro(A)...for RCB..well i need to lern SDL..so not for me exactly..

Yes. Already looked at the gui.bas... Noticed that pretty much all of the colours are shades of grey... Nothing wrong with grey but a little more colour would be nice... unless you are going for a dark theme... lol Anyway, just for colour alone, there are more that 230 references to either defining or setting colours... I am not sure that I have the patience to change the colours... lol
I was only asking about how it was made, just to see if it is possible, to make our own... Just looking at the GUI file tells me it's a little beyond my reach... Ok. A "lot" beyond... lol
SDLBasic, BASIC256 and Naalaa may have some code that maybe worth checking out... Got to go out for a while but I will research it some more when I get back...

Ok. I'm back. The Naalaa editor uses a 'static' gui library (cannot resize). Raycast and Tilemap editors are also "static" It looks similar to RC's gui library (at first look). Found the sdlbasic 'interface' library. First few tests were also 'static'. The Basic256 GUI is also 'static' but requires a particular module to be loaded.
All three relied on the "grey look"
I'm not convinced that either Naalaa or SDLbasic gui's can be converted to RC... They probably could be, but most likely, not by me... lol
More research needed...
J
ps: The more I think about it, the more the idea of a project, could be in the future?

It was originally created for my own personal use so I didn't really focus on making it all that pretty. The entire library is written in RCBasic so technically anyone on this forum should be able to modify it or improve it. I imagine someone could make an even better library with more features if they really wanted.
