No problem Johnno But i become little bit sceptic about content..did you see this admin post: >>> I do allow code posting, but it is not something I would encourage personally.<<<
What that means? That he don't like posting code in general or just about smallBasic...bPlus posted? Or he made forum just to be revial (info) or babeling zone only ?

I had similar thoughts. Because a site sets up forums for many dialects, then perhaps the site is primarily for talking about Basic, otherwise everyone would need each Basic installed to "share" code. Just a thought.
If in doubt, ask the admin, to clarify coding policies... It will certainly remove any guessing or speculating....

Yeah...similar toughts... No..i wont ask him anything, it looks to me they get bored on discord then decide to open forum, but what is forum about any programming just with talking and no coding i am member of two basic facebook groups ,when someone have some interesting code he present it what is normal to me .. ok we see... to be honest i don't expect anything useful there.

Perhaps their policy will change? When their "talking" turns to problem solving, then perhaps, presenting code will change their minds?
Anything useful? Time will tell... My time is limited. I won't be waiting for too long... lol
Perhaps we can be revolutionaries and post code anyway... THAT should rattle some cages... LOL

It's done! I have posted a QB64 coding conversion challenge... (QB64 filled disc routine)... Asked them to convert it to the many Basic's on the site. That should get them thinking and coding or it will be deleted. The results will determine if I stay there or not. If "talking" is all they are going to do... Then I'm "walking"... lol

In most cases, Moderators will place a "conduct" warning, at the top of forum. A little unusual mentioning it within general comments... Perhaps, from his point of view, he must be "seen" to be doing his job. Not only protecting the forum from external "threats" but also from within. But, the "no one cares..." statement, seems to be out of order and could have been worded better... It's a "young" site and hopefully, as time goes by, the organisation of the forum will find a level of control that will be acceptable to all?

Aurel,
I read the "notice" and it looks like a standard "please behave" notification stating the purpose of the Forum. I am surprised that they took so long in posting it. Normally, that kind of information, is posted when the site is created. Similar to QB64's, "Please try and stay on topic" notification.
This is the notification in full.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Let me try again and explain what my vision for this forum is and is not! Apparently there are issues regarding this.
When I created this forum, I wanted a forum for BASIC users of all kinds: young and old, new users to it and those who have used it for a long time, to get together and talk and meet others.
The forum is supposed to be friendly and enticing for others to join. It isn’t supposed to be a place for complaining about others. If you have issues with another forum, person, group, etc. Take it up with them and not place it on this forum!
Please, try and be on your BEST behavior and make this forum, a new forum, one to be proud of and not another one where you have people complaining and talking about others. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I do not believe that his intent is to come across as "harsh" etc but to make sure that the Forum behaves properly for the benefit of all.
The ideals: All ages and skill levels; Friendly; Enticing; Best behaviour. Problems: Discus with person directly (using PM is implied) and off the public forum.
There is an old say the we should not, "air our dirty laundry in public". Not because dirty laundry is unsightly. It's because it reflects badly on the owner of the clothes. If the general public sees a Forum "airing their dirty laundry" (personal attacks; bitter arguments etc) that will give the public the wrong impression about the Forum they are either in or wanting to join. "So, we are not allowed to argue?" No. Arguments happen. Because we are different there will always be friction. Talk to the one we with whom we have the problem. The rest of the Forum does not need to know...
Sorry. This response is longer than I intended. I have seen forums crumble because of disputes and will do all I can to try and prevent it from happening. Here or any Forum.
I think a coffee will do me the world of good...

Johnno I don't have problem with you and with Mark aka B+, because i know noth of you talking about code and coding , but i have with others . they are there because of complain(DRAMA QUEEN) or because of SHOW OFF queens and not anything connected with programming itself, do you get me now ? and because of that i am thinking that THAT forum is useless and crappy ...or colection of refuges or orphans of other forums ... kaffe ...LOL 7.00 AM here

I personally find that, people who are drama queens or show offs, are usually seeking attention. It doesn't matter if the attention is good or not, they are still getting attention. Do not respond or reply to there behaviour and after time, and not getting attention, they should either ease up or stop and move on.... Just a suggestion...
By the way... 7am is an excellent time for coffee... Actually... any time is excellent for coffee... lol
