Almost a month into our Summer and our planet is picking up speed as it is beginning its 6 month journey to winter. On the whole, the year so far, has been pretty good. Although our current circumstances may not be what we expect, our attitudes towards them, will determine how we will cope. I am laying odds on an improvement...
A funny card that I found in an very old MAD magazine said: "Keep your eye on the ball; your shoulder to the wheel; your back to the wall; keep your chin up and your ear to the ground... Now try and work in 'that' position". lol
Start the year off with a chuckle... It's good to laugh!
Have a great new year!

I have a wish that the creators of the various Basic versions will join forces and create a universal variant competitive to Python, cross-platform. Under my leadership, of course. And do not tell fairy tales that it is impossible ...

I did not think that "impossible" was in "your" dictionary... Hmm... A universal variant? Interesting. With a few exceptions, fairy tales, are for children... Every great achievement has started with a dream. All dreams can be made a reality with time, skill and persistence... As Neil Armstrong said, "One small step..."

Hmm... Imagine if Christopher Columbus approached Queen Isabella and said, "Hey! I have an idea for a voyage..." and the Queen said, "It can't be done. You're not going."...
In 1492 he sailed west across the Atlantic... not once, but four times... Superstition about a flat earth and many telling him it cannot be done... Imagine if he listened to them all and decided that they were right?
A "universal variant" may not happen in our lifetime or even by any of us... As long as the dream is alive... there is always hope...
Thank goodness Christopher discovered America... You wouldn't want it discovered by an Australian, would you? lol

What does flat earth have to do with it? And Krzysztof did not discover America. Many did this before him.

Rosy. Captain James Cook was English... But, the Dutch, discovered Australia about 200 years before Cook... Australia was originally named 'New Holland'... AC/DC discovered Australia?... That would be SO cool... The things we believe when we are kids... Cool...
You are probably right about the discovery of America. Like Captain Cook, he didn't even know about the Dutch, but the discovery was given to him... Maybe the same thing happened in Columbus's day?
Believe it or not, there is 'still' a 'flat earth society'... Even though, many centuries ago, man discovered that the earth was a sphere, there was still a strong belief that the earth was flat and if you sailed far enough in either direction the ship would fall off the edge of the world. This belief prevented many explorers from going too far beyond the horizon.
Aurel... Babble away... Babbling can bring about ideas... ideas can bring about possibilities... The two little words, in the English language, that can both terrify us and stir the imagination... "What if..." This world needs creative thinkers with a positive attitude... "What if... we succeed?"
