What are you saying? That I am inept; clumsy or perhaps too fussy? Well... you could be right... it may be "all of the above". *sigh*
There are times when I miss the old WinXP days... 'That' beast was quite stable. If you repeat that I said that, I will deny everything... Moo Ha Ha Ha...

johnno56 Have you made any progress on this demo. I am still probably atleast a month from the next release but I would really like to ship this demo if its available by then. Its not a rush though.

johnno56 Have you made any progress on this demo. I am still probably atleast a month from the next release but I would really like to ship this demo if its available by then. Its not a rush though. With all my system issues, in combination with my lack of organizational skills, I have ashamedly done very little to nothing with the demo.
Just so that I am clear... Are you just wanting the "Colour to RGB" demo or the "Menu Driven Primitives" demo or *gulp* both?

I thought the RGB demo was going to be part of the menu driven primitives.

Oh... That sounds a LOT like both... lol
I had a quick look at Kivy. The examples were quite impressive... but "easy to use"? I do not know the "learning curve" required... lol
I have a feeling that I will be creating for myself a potential nightmare of work...but I think ( ARRGH! I hate this laptop keyboard!! - Sorry.) I will try and do this using RC. Basically, hover over a menu item; click; display the appropriate image in one panel and the code in another... easier said than done, right? lol
Oh hang on... The code for some of the examples may not fit in the "code panel" (eg: Color to RBG) and I have no idea as to how to create scrolling within a panel - hence the need of a "GUI" app... *sigh* My brain hurts...
If memory serves correctly, did you not develop a simple GUI system - I think it was used for "distributing" RC apps? Could that be used? - that too would require a "learning curve"... hmmm...
Breakfast and coffee first... (maybe not in that exact order...lol)

Cool... In the meantime, I have started on a "point and click" system using "zones"...
Last night, I went through SO many fonts, just to find at least one that was not, shall we say, looked like a drunk chicken that stepped in ink and ran across the screen.... I do not know what it is with fonts and Linux... or it could just be my failing eyesight... lol
I appreciate your offer, but only do this, if it does not detract from more important tasks... Thank you.

johnno56 Here is the template using the Gui library. It will load the code from the example files when you select the item in the checkbox. primitives.tar.xz (323.44 KB)

Cool... Thanks for that... I have already added all the items to the list and modified the "select case" to suite and created 'blank' files for the items Would you be so kind as to provide a screen dump of the RGB item? Just want to see how your screen looks in comparison to mine...
This is how mine looks... Nuts! Stupid laptop! "Add Attachment" will not allow me to select a file....

I can implement the rgb example in the demo panel to help you get give you an example of how to do that. I probably won't be able to do it today but I can probably work on it tomorrow.

Here is the update with the color demo implemented. To make this work I had to convert the draw calls in the rgb demo to Gui_Surface draw calls and change the font number used so it does not conflict with the font being used by the code panel. primitives_v2.tar.xz (405.53 KB)

Quick question... How can I change the background colour of the demo_surface?
