I went onto the sdlBasic forums the other day and Johnno had uncovered a map editor I made in sdlBasic almost 10 years ago. It was kind of cool to see some of my old stuff. Thanks to the sdlBasic community for preserving it.

Ah ha! So YOU are the creator of the map editor? No wonder Admin couldn't answer my questions about it... lol 10 years you say? Dare I ask if you have done anything else with it since then? I have used the program "Tiled" (pronounced Tile-Ed) and is quite good. But sdlbasic did not have an application to both read and include it in our games. Hence the 'old school' read the 'data' statements method.
Do not get me wrong. I do not mind using the 'data' method, but to use an editor to create and include a map, would be cool. (no pressure, right? lol)
If I had the skills I would spend time on it, but unfortunately, I don't... Your crystal ball has probably told you what me next question will be...
I appreciate that you are probably exceedingly busy at the moment... But, if you can check it out and let us know if you might one day get it finished, that would also be appreciated.
I'm also curious as to why you wrote it for sdlbasic and not rcbasic? Just curious.
Cheers
J
