This has probably been ask a squillion times over multiple forums....
Does anyone have an ultra-bare-bones tile map editor? I am working on a simple platformer and thought that I might add a level editor.
I have "Tiled" installed on my Linux machine and could make a map and attempt to convert the file to be used by QB64. I am going to guess that it can be done, but ultimately, I do not want to rely on an 'external' program that everyone may or may not have. I'm not sure if I am making any sense....
If it is not possible, that is ok, I will continue to make maps manually. Just thought I would ask....

My editor is available in software if you want to use that. I know TBirds editor can do iso maps but I am not sure if it does regular tile maps. If you want to use Tiled, the format is pretty easy to understand as well. If you want more explanation on one of these just let me know.

My arbitrary editor does tiles of any size, or orientation, tis the beauty of an arbitrary map editor....but on the downside super simplicity is not the case. Something to include yes it would be very easy to include alongside your game but you would have to follow how I have it laid out...which kinda missed the point on my part, the stand alone is supposed to be for anyone who doesn't want to conform to someone else's way of doing things, due to my inexperience I kinda failed in that area for the time being. I already know what I am going to do to simplify it, although that won't happen till my framework is more along.
