I've downloaded the rcbasic_win_310.zip. I'm using windows-10, 64-bit.
I'm trying to get any of the demos to run or the n00bEngine. When I launch the Editor through the start_editor.bat file, the build, and run commands are unable to find the rcbasic executable. So I modified the .bat file so that I can call it from the command prompt, to get the environment variables, then try to build/run any example.
Here are the relevant environment variables:
RCBASIC_BIT=64BIT
RCBASIC_D32=C:\dev\rcbasic\rcbasic_win\rcbasic\rcbasic_32
RCBASIC_D64=C:\dev\rcbasic\rcbasic_win\rcbasic\rcbasic_64
RCBASIC_PATH=C:\dev\rcbasic\rcbasic_win\rcbasic\rcbasic_64
RCBASIC_TOOLS=C:\dev\rcbasic\rcbasic_win\tools Path=C:\dev\rcbasic\rcbasic_win\tools\dist;C:\dev\rcbasic\rcbasic_win\rcbasic\rcbasic_64
C:\dev\rcbasic\rcbasic_win\rcbasic\examples>rcbasic_build fibonacci.bas
Source: fibonacci.bas
RCBasic Binary Program compiled
Compiled Successfully
C:\dev\rcbasic\rcbasic_win\rcbasic\examples>rcbasic fibonacci.bas
This program was not built for this version of the runtime
Could not load rcbasic program What's weird here is that a cbc file is generated, but still won't run. Any suggestions for what could be going wrong?
Thanks in advance, Jason

First, Welcome to the forum dwsjasonGo into ( Build -> Set Build Commands ) and change the Run program command to this: rcbasic ".\%e.cbc" Let me know if that fixes your issue.

n00b, launching from commandline by passing in the .cbc as the path does work! Thank you! In Geany, it's still having an issue. It just behaves like things are not in the PATH.
I did find a work around for this, I edited the GeanyPortable.ini file, to add the path:
PathAdditions=C:\dev\rcbasic\rcbasic_win\rcbasic\rcbasic_64
Thank you again for your help. Jason

I'm glad it worked out for you. You can also install the full version of geany from the website and set up the build commands yourself.
