I am trying to find the source of the problem, but what is happening is I finally was going to make a executable demo and in Linux everything is fine on my old laptop, when I booted into windows, it compiled fine, without error but no programs will actually run, even the demos that come with, everything compiles, but when I go to run, exits with a code. I am quite certain the problem is on my end, I will keep investigating, also am going to try on my gaming machine to see the results. Will update when I learn something, unless someone has an idea of what I am doing wrong.

On windows, if you are trying to run it with the version of geany that is included you need to make sure you are launching "start_editor.bat" to start up geany. This will add rcbasic to your path in geany.
Other than that, if you could provide a screenshot or video of the error you are getting, it would give me a better idea of what is causing it.

n00b, I have windows setup the same as it has always been, the manually entered build lines in the installed geany. Mind you the last time I ran the windows anything was RC ver. 3.09, I downloaded the latest changed the 309 to 312 on the build lines and everything compiled. I am close to solving it, I think its my engine I probably put a character specific to Linux not even thinking and its causing me grief I will have a look in a couple hours.

You could try running your programs from the command line and see if that works. If it works through the command line then it is most likely something setup incorrectly in geany or whatever code editor you are using.

I narrowed down the culprit it happens in the directory switch, this has always worked before...unless I missed something else. There is no issue in Linux. I will keep trying lol. I am lost.

You might want to "PRINT DIR$" before CHANGEDIR to make sure your working directory is in the directory you think it is.

Quick update, n00b, thanks for the help. I just got setup on my gaming machine...and it works fine in Windows.... So it is something to do with Windows 7 or just my old laptop, my dev days on the old laptop are numbered. I will of course take your suggestion and see what directory its accessing.
