I tested my speed problems ...
On the Atom 1.33 GHz Netbook with Windows 10 I did not test the frames, but it looked that the game runs smoothly on the full screen 1280x600
On a computer with Athlon II X2 260, which is 2x faster, Windows 7 32 bit (which is also probably faster) there are problems. The slowdown is even 800x600 in fullscreen mode. In the window (no scaling), the slowdown occurs if the window height> 1000. I removed the graphics commands completely, I only printed the number of frames in the console.

What is your GPU on each machine?

What could be in a netbook ... Some kind of built-in ...
In the second, the GF 9400GT

Well a lot of integrated graphics are faster then a gf 9400 gt, that's why I am curious. What is the actual model of your netbook? In 2014 when the gf 9400gt was released the Intel HD integrated graphics were much faster, so if your netbook is more current yet it would absolutely blaze past that poor GPU.

OK, I'll check it by the way. And this card is so slow, is it making it so slow? I note that the window mode only changes the size of the window, the canvases still 640x400

I checked on another computer. Radeon Xpress 200. Windows 7 64 bit. Works better too. I do not understand ...

Well that shoots my theory then, if the x200 is running it better that eliminates a really slow GPU. Some other reason....

I switched to embedded graphics and it works better too. So what's wrong with the card ... Reinstalling the drivers did not help. Would I discover additional RC functionality - graphics testing?

Well that is interesting, on my machines it works as it should, faster CPU and GPU makes better performance, curious if this is an isolated incident or something broader.

I fired up the 3D Mark 2001. It works. On some tests it shows 30 frames, in others 400, I don't know what these frames are about. But generally 2x faster than the built-in one.
By the way, I see that the image is cropped on Fullscreen...
