I have read good reviews about Zorin but have not been following its progress. The lite version, probably similar to other Linux flavour lite versions, can look, shall we say, not as pretty, as the full version... Usually one of the trade-offs for speed perhaps? I just looked up Zorin and noticed that the "Lite" and "Core" versions are free, but the "Pro" version, is not. I know that Linux Desktops can be "given away" or "Sold", as the Desktop creator sees fit, but selling software that is already 'open source' to me, does not make sense... The expectation of moving to Linux is that it should be free... But that could be a discussion for another time.
Umm... Curious. You are testing Zorin Lite 10, right? Zorin is up to version 16. Can I assume that using an earlier version would be more suited to an older laptop/desktop. Not judging. Just curious as to why the older version...
I would be interested to hear of your opinion of Zorin once you have had the opportunity to "take it out for a spin".

There are some distros that are for sale, not expensive, but for sale none the less... After all, if someone spends a lot of time packaging a distro and assuming that it is good, then they are within their rights to be fairly compensated... That's the beauty of opensource... give it away or sell it... Oh nuts! It's 10pm and I haven't had coffee yet... Oh well... Looks like I'll have to wait until morning...

My suggestion: give up on this zorin. From my observations - the fastest, moderately modern Linux on Debian are Sparky (many desktops to choose from) and Bunsenlabs (truncated).

Finding the right blend of functionality and speed, when it comes to Linux, is definitely a skill. Because there are so many 'creators' of distributions, each maker has their own idea of what to include and what to leave out... Wouldn't it be handy to have a list of distributions based on their main ability. eg: A distro created for multimedia... Movies and music... A gaming distro... An office distro... A programming distro... "Beginner", "Intermediate" and "Pro" distros... It would certainly reduce the testing of so many distros... in my opinion...
Ok. My coffee cup is complaining of neglect... lol
Let me know how your search goes?

Recently, a friend complained that her computer was slow. She swore she didn't want any Linux. Completely unfamiliar with computers. Nevertheless, I installed her Windows 7 and Sparky Linux. It turned out that she can handle Linux and is satisfied so far. She even installed something there, I don't know how ...
I don't know why you're up to some old shit ...

Mint4Win is a Linux installer for Windows. In theory, it will allow the user to dual-boot... At bootup, the user can select Linux or Windows...
I have had mixed results with dual boot. Mind you, that was some years ago... Probably should be ok by now... So much easier to pick an OS and stick with it...

Certainly does look good. The reviews look good as well. Caution: The last stable release was 2015. Both 2016 and 2017 have "nightly" releases but nothing since. I am not familiar with Debian's update protocols, but if it is like all the earlier Debian versions, it should be very stable. If you get to test it, let us know about your experience?
