You can download an updated version of 3.16 which fixes the android build issues. Just download v3.16 R2 here: RCBasic Itch.io pageREAD THE SETUP INSTRUCTIONS before trying to build.

In Sparkylinux it's still to do ... it does not work.
Why can not I compile your app_build_android.bas ?

I apologize, what do you need to do to make an .apk in linux. Windows I cannot get to work...something to do with enviroment variables, I went through multiple guides online to set them up and still getting an error. As far as linux I went through the setup process and not sure what to do next.

Rather, the variables need to be set in the startup file. Open a new terminal and check that they are visible there.

Ok so in Windows I got the Enviroment variables fixed....I think, no it throws an error that: 'Xcopy' is not recognized as an internal or external command?

I made a video going through a full setup of RCBasic on a fresh install of Ubuntu 20.04 RCBasic Linux SetupAfter running the rcbasic install script, run this script to update the scripts the build tools are using: update_rcbasic_tools.sh (324 B) Ok so in Windows I got the Enviroment variables fixed....I think, no it throws an error that: 'Xcopy' is not recognized as an internal or external command? Check to see if you have a environment variable called SYSTEMROOT. It should be pointing to C:\Windows. rosy I will look into your SDL issues on your phone. I haven't ran any android test in a while so I will let you know what I find.

Everything else worked except it won't compile says permission denied on rcbasic_build, and the update build tools crashes saying can't find rcbasic_build.....I think I am going to back up a few things and start from scratch lol.....it's becoming painful.

I will try to find a workaround for the issue you are having as well. I will look into your SDL issues on your phone. I haven't ran any android test in a while so I will let you know what I find. SO YOU WORKED A TOOL WITHOUT TESSING IT ?? Not testing IN A WHILE means that I have not tested it IN A WHILE (probably because I haven't released anything IN A WHILE)

I don't know what "in a while" means. Are your phone programs working after these patches or not?
You can correctly type in "android settings", because you can't see it in the movie.
It would be nice to write in the instruction how to set environment variables correctly, and it would be better to give them up.

rosy tbird I think version PI should work for most people still. I added it back to the itch.io page. johnno56 Would you mind continuing to try to get 3.16 working on your machine? I need someone other than me to try to test it out so I can work these issues out with the next release.

I have said many times that PI did not work either
