n00b , appear to be making headway. I'm attaching the log output this time, no app.properties errors this time, just this:

I checked the output directory and the main.cbc file is indeed there.

tbird Try deleting the main.cbc and distribute again.

Ok, I tried and it made no difference, exact same log. I tried a couple variations of directories to no avail. Not sure, one of those funny Windows problems.

That error message is actually coming from pkg.bas. Here is something to try. 1. Add this project file to the rcbasic/tools/dist folder. dist_tools.rcprj (525 B) 2. Open the project in the editor 3. Open pkg.bas 4. Comment out line 1106 4. Build the project 5. Try running the distribute tool again

When I get home tonight I will also try and run it on Windows 10. Thanks. Since I don't have 11, all I can do is ask you to try stuff out. I will also go through pkg.bas and try to see if I can make some improvements. I can verify it works on every system I have tested it on ( 3 windows 10 machines, a PopOS 20.04 machine, and a PopOS 21.10 machine) but I do want it to work across the board so I am glad you are helping out with this.
