I would completely switch to using the included RC IDE if it had code completion for user defined variables/functions so I didn't have to look them up or remember them. That is all.

Awww.... But what about those of us who are fans of "Where's Wally (Waldo)"? How are we supposed to practice? lol
Nah. Kidding. Sounds like a great idea. Of course, switch it on / off, from the "view" menu... For those of us with smaller screens... or cannot give up on "Where's Wally"... lol

johnno56 as funny as that sounds, memory practice is something I probably should be doing. I have a poor memory in alot of things. Although that feature would be time saving.

tbird That is actually not that hard to implement. I will have it a new version of the IDE with that added this week. johnno56 The issues you are currently having with the distribute tool with the IDE are issues that were fixed in 3.19. I can't easily build the compiler or runtime on older systems but it is not a problem to just build the IDE. I will get a build of the IDE on an older version of ubuntu up this weekend as well.

If it is too much of a chore, do not panic, I can still use 3.18... I had to install a VM to test a new feature of Naalaa. Wine, Naalaa and Linux did not play very well together. As a result, I have Win7 on the VM. I will attempt to run 3.19 tomorrow. If it works, then the source of my difficulties, will be reduced to either a GLIBC problem or defective user... lol

n00b Well that is awesome, I can't wait. I've been using it, and that's my only issue.

aurel Geany shows user declared variables on the left with functions and subroutines and also does code prediction with all of them.

Ah yes. Geany. I basically use Geany for coding RCBasic (I am trying to get used to Studio... lol). Good point about the configuration. But, I think I have only had one occasion to "tinker" with the config file. Apparently, using some Linux fonts, the "underscore" character kind of "disappears" when using Geany. Modifying the config file sorted that out.
Geany is no Visual Studio or Code Blocks or NetBeans, but for me anyway, it has a lot more features than a basic text editor...

Another request and its probably a big one would be a debug mode for error handling, when there's an array error having more accurate and less time consuming way of tracking it down among other things.
