Going to be off the air for a short while... All of the components for my PC upgrade has arrived and my daughter and I will be spending the time together rebuilding... She offered and with by eyesight, not being as good as it used to be, took her up on the offer... Start building after lunch on Sunday...

Huge thanks to my daughter for doing most of the work... Machine is running with bare essentials installed... So much quieter and a smidgen faster... Does anyone have any benchmark utils for Linux?... Just curious... Intel and Nvidia are nowhere to be seen... Moo ha ha ha... Time will tell to see if migrating to AMD on Linux is an improvement....
Much needed coffee break about to happen... Prior to beginning the migration of files...

I would recommend phoronix. You should be able to install it with "sudo apt install phoronix-test-suite" or just download the DEB file from the website.

Yep. Mint. Been using it since version 13... I can use the laptop for testing 'lighter' distros.... as soon as I have migrated necessary files and documents... lol
