Hi guys, This is a conversion of an old QB64 game that was titled as 'The Game'. If I knew who the author was, the author would get credit. I am still trying to get my head around 'windows','canvases','fonts','update()' and where they are placed withing the program. I think I may have got them all in the right order... please correct me if I am wrong? The game is simple: You start with 3 lives. Navigate through the asteroids (obviously without hitting them... lol). You have to 'collect' of nine numbers (from 1 to 9). If you miss a number, the same number will appear, until it is collected. As stated earlier, do not hit the asteroids, but if you do you can collect a life when it appears. QB64 collision detection is very crude. You can either modify the code or just steer clear of the asteroids... lol Enough. Get the game. Good eye / hand coordination for the young and the young at heart. This is a pretty fun little game. I didn't see any problem with the collision detection.

The collision detection works but it's not 'pixel perfect'. I think it uses a 'bounding box' system.
I figured that the grandkids might find this game amusing... but, like most new things, someone has to "test" the game. Right? Got a little frustrating at times, especially when surrounded by asteroids, and you can't get out... After a lengthy period of 'quality control' testing I figured it was time for the kids to have a turn. They will be visiting this coming weekend... Mu ha ha...
In the meantime, I might see if I can incorporate a joystick.. That would be particularly nasty... They don't know that the 'ship' can't shoot... Mu ha ha...
