Ok. Brief history...
I have keyed in the 1978 text version of Super Star Trek, by David H. Ahl, many times in several forms of Basic. These were pure text.
Many years back I found a version written in Basic256 that used rudimentary graphics (displaying text at the graphics cursor). The best part was that there were no "line numbers"!! At the time I was using SDLBasic, as my weapon of choice, and successfully converted the game. This was playable buggy game. SDLBasic had the ability to create and redirect output (both text and graphics) to multiple "panels" or windows. Along came the introduction of fonts, sounds and images. Then the dust settled and it sat on my hard drive until the advent of RCBasic.
In the meantime, I was tinkering with LCARS graphics, to try and create a simple homepage for my browser... That project never eventuated... But, a better use - in my opinion - would be to add it to my game... In 2020 "The Frame" was created... The game saw very little work for the next 3 years.
The attached file is FAR from completed... It starts and plays (kind of...) I am trying to have it mouse controlled... The on screen numeric keypad is not coded yet... Weapons are not functional... Most "buttons" are coded... On screen font is legible (open to suggestions) as I said... "kind of"...
Just realized that the file is too large to 'attach'....
