n00b, I know... I know... before you say "we covered that one ages ago"... you had mentioned that the "default font" is a bitmap font that is "built in" and cannot be changed... and I am okay with that... This question is a little different... I would like to replicate the font style and would like to know which font the default font is based on?

I don't really know. That bitmap font is part of SDL2_gfx. There is a function in that library called stringRGBA() which RCBasic uses to render the font for prints and inputs. Here is the documentation on that function: SDL2_gfx - stringRGBA()All of the graphics primitives (ie. circle, line, etc.) in RCBasic also comes from SDL2_gfx.

Thank you. One of the reasons for asking is that, when I render "small" point "ttf"'s most are quite "rough" or almost illegible... I am trying to reduce the number of fonts for my Star Trek game (believe it or not, almost 50% of the total compressed file size, is made up of fonts... yikes) All of the LCARS images are "png"'s and could be "drawn" using standard shapes - obvious more work - but could reduce the overall size a little. Although the sound files are "chunky" I will probably leave them as is... always open to suggestions... lol Again. Thank you.
