Hey there! So I finally downloaded RC Basic Studio through its itch.io page, and I tried following the functions part 1 tutorial. I haven't done anything special to the file structure or the exe file itself. When I go to try to run/build and run the .bas file, I keep getting an error that reads "++Could not load rcbasic program" and I've got no clue how I've already broken the program...

RCBasic Studio will require you to create a project first.

You can also build and run just a file with "F10" or under the build menu "Build and Run Current File"
Welcome to the forum!

RCBasic Studio will require you to create a project first. I did create a project and then made a file, that's what's weird.

I just tried it and ran into the bug you mentioned. You can fix it by closing the project and reopening it. Make sure when you close the project that you close any open tabs from the project as well.
I will try to get this fixed in the next release.

Okay so, I tried to do that just now, and I'm still getting the same error. I've tried to do the following: 1.) Build and run project 2.) Build and run current file 3.) Build project -> run project 4.) Build current file -> run current file
I'm not sure what I could be doing wrong because I followed all of y'all's instructions exactly.

I have an "rcbasic" folder in the version I downloaded from itch.io which contains the subfolders "geany_files", "rcbasic_32", "rcbasic_64", and "tools".

It sounds like you have the window version. I can make a quick video going over getting that setup and upload it in about an hour. I will post a link here once its up.

This took a little longer than I thought. Here is the link to the video on setting up RCBasic Studio. I also added a segment in there on setting up Geany as well. youtu.be/upVPA3xY3js
